Toxic Shock are a Portsmouth based Hard Rock band (also known as Toxic Shock UK).
After the members met in various other metal bands (Kris Walden, Jamie Bannon & Adam Stanton from Abraxas, Ash Lyndhurst from Chasing Chemistry & Joord Von Bastaveltd from Void XIII ) they decided to start a band playing the style of music they all loved. Most of the group grew up listening to the likes of Guns N' Roses, Aersomith, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue & various other 80's rock bands. It was there passion for the genre which brought them together and moved them away from a harder and more saturated metal scene.
After just there 1st gig they were offered the services of a booking agent and have been on a quick rise ever since.
Their current release is the "Deliverance EP", this was made available on May 1st 2011.

Starting his career at the age of 12, Ash used to play various venues within Portsmouth to a moderate level of success with his own original compositions and style of singing. Starting off with an acoustic act, he started to crave a bigger stage and a bigger sound, leading him to join his first band. Spending the next couple of years going through various bands trying to find a style and group of musicians he felt comfortable with, he finally found his home band, Toxic Shock. After one practice, he was sold and finally had found that band he wanted to forge a career with.

Adam picked up his first guitar at the age of 16. Being completely self taught he found learning songs much more entertaining than spending hours learning techniques, this spurred him on to find a band to play these songs with. After spending a couple years touring the cover band circuit in the south of England he decided he wanted to write his own stuff. Forming his first originals band (Abraxas, where he met Jamie Bannon & Kris Walden) at the age of 18 he found local success came quickly, playing support slots with many professional bands such as Tesseract, Enochian Theory, The Light Divided and The Arusha Accord. Adam, along with Kris Walden & Jamie Bannon, found the heavy sound not to their style though and the band split after just 2 years. Adam started a progressive project with Ash Lyndhurst and Rory Kane. This stayed as a project though and after a while Jamie & Adam wanted to play a style more in tune with their musical preference. Toxic Shock was born.

Jamie otherwise known as (Bannon) by others started playing guitar at the age of 15 where his best friend Sam started teaching him which shortly after turned into them forming 8 Deadly Sins. After several months of realising this band name didn't work they then Regrouped and decided to rename the band "Amethyst" which then went on to become one of the most successful bands in the south of England at the time. After several years of time in the studio and touring the south of England "Amethyst" decided to call it a day, at which point Bannon went on to join "Days Of No Trust" then later quit to form "Abraxas" and "Fight or Die" All the while the genre getting progressively heavier and heavier until Adam & Bannon got together and discussed the musical direction in which they wanted to take, as they then went on to form the sexual splendour that is "TOXIC SHOCK"!
